It’s our clinical conference!

Best practice, networking and lots of coffee

Duradiamond Healthcare held its annual Clinical Conference at the Royal College of General Practitioners in London on October 3rd.

With over 130 attendees from across the UK including Scotland, the North West and Cornwall, our Chief Medical Officer Dr Alasdair Emslie FFOM FFOM(I) and Managing Director Andrew Noble led the programme, which included fascinating and informative sessions on:

  • Respiratory diseases – health surveillance, hazards and analysis (Kelvin Williams Occupational Hygiene Consultant) and contemporary issues (Professor Paul Cullinan, Professor of Occupational and Environmental Respiratory Disease, National Heart and Lung Institute)
  • Healthy Sleep & Sleep for Health (Dr Alanna Hare Consultant, Physician, Department of Sleep and Ventilation, Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust)
  • Occupational hygiene – case studies (Dr Chris Pugh FFOM, Chairman of Duradiamond Healthcare)
  • Breakout session on physiotherapy.

We also held our annual prizegiving to celebrate those clinicians who have delivered outstanding service to clients over the past year, particularly highlighting Glasgow Airport winning the Glasgow Business Award for Healthy and Active Workplace with one of our excellent OH Advisors.

Dr Emslie said “Again, we had a fantastic atmosphere, a chance for old and new colleagues to get together to discuss best practice and learn something new. We were delighted to welcome our 120 new staff who joined us over the 2018-2019 year, enabling us to grow and maintain service excellence for our clients going forward.”
